This paper reflects on the teachers training in Portugal and Brazil, with the specific source an interview con-ducted by the author of this article with the Portuguese researcher Maria do Céu Roldão. The objective of this work was to deepen the reflection on the topic of the teacher training for professional practice in higher education in the field of educational research, with extensive production in both countries.
