This paper presents reflections on teacher training to work in the field schools covering part of the research results held in doctoral studies (2009-2013). Methodologically we invest in qualitative research based on interviews and analyzes with seven teachers from a school/ on the countryside. To use theoretical basis authors as: Arroyo (2007), Arroyo, Caldart and Molina (2004), Freire (1996) and Leite (2002). The analyzes showed that to look again at this professional is an exercise that helps in building new knowledge about the training of teachers for schools in the countryside. We conclude that there is a need for teachers to be aware of the importance of understanding the cultural, social routine, political and economic rural man who determines the habits and customs of the students to perform better teaching. Changes in the organizational structure of schools and teacher training programs are fundamental to change this situation.
