Valorização do magistério da educação básica: entre o legal e o real

The interest of capital interferes in educational proposals, what is translate in politics of edu-cation and appreciation of teacher. In this context, the depreciation of mastership is intensified, according the conjuncture and the political position of each Brazilian historical moment. Recently, however, the accep-tance of FUNDEF, the promulgation of LDB/1996, the acceptance of FUNDEB and of Law of National Base of salaries, these aspects, among others, they gave priority to education, career and conditions of work to professionals of mastership and, more recently, emphasize plans of career and National Base of Salaries according to PNE/2014/2024 determines. From the considerations, this text is about professionalization of mastership, using the documental kind of qualitative search, in the sense of evidence the conditions of education and appreciation of teacher work posed by legislation. Although professional appreciation be guaranteed by legislation, it has not been translated in practice. In this process, the struggle of mastership remains in perspective that legislation, that favors it as professional, be obeyed for public power.
